How would life be today without computers?
The field of Information Technology is one which is beneficial to all industries and hence knowledge about it is an important weapon which leads to the success of businesses. It enables the collection of data, its classification and processing of the data in order to be able to provide the desired information for further analyses by a business or entity.
Therefore system managers can store their data safely, manipulate it, transmit it, and retrieve it. The IT system also enables the investigation of problems and provides ideas to solve them.
Generally, an IT system entails several aspects which include the administration, configuration and maintenance of the IT systems such servers such as Linux which enable the storage of data, networking, security and review of the data hardware configuration, as well as operating systems where a user can access the data e.g. Mac OS or FreeDOS.
It also encompasses graphic design such as 2D and 3D animation i.e. the sculpting of 2D or 3D characters and their rendering with various features such as flash. It also encompasses the field of graphic and web design.
Lastly, it deals with the development of computing platforms which includes algorithms and programming techniques, scripting, soft-ware development, game development and coding languages such as Pascal, Java, C/C++/C# etc.
Therefore, IT technicians need to be well versed with a wide range of fields to be able to communicate effectively with the IT systems. First off, a variety of individuals communicate about this topic thoroughly during charity events such as breast cancer event associations. Some may even talk about it while exercising in their local gyms, or even at their favorite stores.
It is important to know everything about Information Technology no matter who you are, and no matter where you go.
This website was previously created for Skullbox which was an email messaging service but the service may have been terminated after a brief period of time. I couldn’t find much information about the previous site although when I found the domain I became interested in publishing content which pertain to IT systems. There are several interesting posts about IT and you can access them below by clicking the various categories that I’ve created.
Changing for the Better
Technology has so many advantages that we have literally fallen slaves to it, I for one can attest to this as for the past ten years or so, I have been hooked to it. I own literally anything that technology seemed fit to dish out. Whether it is video games or the social media or anything that involves music, then I have the latest when it comes to all these gadgets. I have literally fallen victim to being a slave to this that it has ruined a lot of the good relationships that I have had in the past.
I have broken up with at least three girlfriends and it is all always due to this reason. I have also lost one or two very important jobs that I would have easily kept if it wasn’t for being addicted to the gadgets that I own. I would go, get a job just so that I could buy the latest PlayStation or Xbox that was coming out. As soon as I had gotten my paycheck which was enough to afford me the gadget, I am out of that job faster than you can say technology. I literally could not do without these and I didn’t realize that I was becoming heavily reliant on them and I needed to stop this addiction before my life went into ruins.
I have a friend who was addicted to alcohol for a really long while and this ruined the relationships he had and he too lost very good jobs just because of being alcoholic and not caring about anything else. I had a talk with him recently and this is what led to this really huge revelation that I needed to do something with my life. Since I can’t go to a rehab, he told me that we should take some camping trip together where we would not be allowed to bring our cellphones, laptops or anything that was ruining my relationships.
Basically we would go on that camping trip with nothing but camping gear and we would have top rely on nature for anything else until I learned to rely so much on technology and focus on my life then we would get back to civilization. At first it seemed like a nice challenge but the closer we got to the day of leaving, the harder I became attached to the stuff that I had. I couldn’t just leave all these being with the latest iPhone in my pocket. My iPad, with all the music and fun things that I could do with it had to be left behind for a couple of months.
I’ve never had to do anything harder in my life
This is counting the three girlfriends that had broken up with me in the most bizarre of fashions. So, we set out for the wild with nothing but our wristwatches as the only technological advancement that we would carry with us. I couldn’t even bring my smartwatch so I had to be forced to buy a new Rolex for the trip.
It was really hard at first and there were so many instances when I felt like giving up but having my friend there for the support that I needed proved really vital and that is how I managed the two months that we were there. This actually opened my eyes to this whole new world that meant that I could actually learn to live without my laptop all the time. I could not lose my girlfriend because of a video game because some things are just irreplaceable and you can’t pick them up in a store.
I am really glad that my friend came along camping with me out there in the woods of Louisiana. The place is a really serene environment and this helps one to be in contact with their inner self. The fact that he had been through alcoholism which was basically similar to what I was going through was a major boost as he taught me how to actually let go and focus on the important things in my life.
He understands what its like to be a slave to something and how it can ruin your life. Now, as I head home after two months of healing and finding new ways to lose excess fat, I feel a new person ready to take on the world without being addicted to my videogames and iPhone.
